Raised in Brussels and Munich - educated in Barcelona, Rome, London and Munich - for more than 35 years with passion on stage as singer and actress - both at home in opera/operetta as well as in theatre and in film/TV.

Amélie Sandmann
studied classical singing in Munich with Maria Janina Hake and at the "Conservatori de Música del Liceu" in Barcelona.
In addition to her studies she took acting lessons (Lee-Strasberg-Method, Meisner Technique) and attended masterclasses for specializing in various fields, as in Italian opera, e.g. with Renata Scotto or Daphne Evangelatos and in American songs with Thomas Hampson.
International engagements led her to Barcelona, Paris, Rome, Zurich, Brazil, China, India or Mexico.
Amélie was also guest of important festivals as the Salzburg Festival (Salzburger Festspiele), the Piano Festival Ruhr (Klavierfestival Ruhr), the Kissinger Summer-Festival (Kissinger Sommer) or the European Weeks Passau (Europäische Wochen Passau).
In addition, she starres regularely in various german film and tv productions.
In 2012 she was in the famous role of “Buhlschaft” (Paramour) in a production of “Jedermann” (Hugo von Hofmannsthal: Everyman) as part of the Bavarian Festival “Kulturwald” on stage.
In August 2022 she sang the role of Marcellina in "Le Nozze di Figaro" by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the Blaibach concert hall, which is famous for its stunning architecture and its brilliant acoustics, under the baton of Rüdiger Lotter. The orchestra Hofkapelle München played on historical instruments.
From time to time Amélie also teaches vocals with focus on interpretation of song and aria in international masterclasses (e.g. Shenyang Conservatory - China, University Juárez Tabasco - México, National University of Music Astana - Kasachstan, Music Schools Kolkata and Chennai - India).
